Server training is not only required for on-premise licensees under MCL 436.1501(1), it's also a wise practice for all individuals who work in the hospitality/liquor industry.  More and more often, off-premise licensees are also taking it upon themselves to have their managers &/or employees trained.  When working within the liquor industry, increased education will always be a benefit.
